A payment will be made in one lump sum within thirty 30 consecutive days after acceptance of the work, unless otherwise agreed upon, and the submission both of notarized contractors affidavit and copies of invoices.

The contractor shall unconditionally guarantee materials and workmanship against patent defects arising from faulty materials, faulty workmanship or negligence for a period of twelve 12 months following the final acceptance of the work.

Proposals will be evaluated based on: overall cost 30 weight qualifications and experience 20 weight scope compliance and approach 20 weight past performance and references 20 weight response capability and staffing 10 weight.

Contractors must submit certificate of insurance for liability and workers compensation in order for the proposal to be qualified.

If the contractor fails to achieve substantial completion within the contract time established by the contract documents, as adjusted by approved change orders or authorized time extensions, the contractor shall pay the county liquidated damages in the amount of **** per calendar day for each consecutive calendar day the work remains incomplete.

A nonmandatory site visit is scheduled for September 2, 2026 at 8: 00 am, EST, at 302 courthouse square, beaufort, nc **** at the front breezeway.

Questions will be answered until September 16, 2026.

Failure to provide required bonds may be grounds for forfeiture of bid security and award to the next lowest responsible bidder.

Proposals must be submitted electronically by Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM CT.

Payment terms will be made on a monthly basis, or as agreed upon by both parties in the executed agreement, by the County of Kane.

Vendor expressly warrants that all goods and services will conform to specifications and be fit for the intended purpose, merchantable, of good material and workmanship. These warranties shall survive acceptance.

Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria weighted as follows: Pricing Proposal Cost Structure (50%), Project Approach Design (25%), Qualifications References (15%), Project Schedule and Delivery (5%), Warranty and Service Support (5%).

Proposals shall demonstrate experience designing and installing incline platform lifts, ability to provide turnkey installation services, demonstrated financial and organizational stability, and compliance with all applicable Illinois licensing requirements.

If delivery of services is not completed by the time promised, the county reserves the right, without liability, to terminate the contract.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT at Building A, Kane County Government Center.

Questions pertaining to this request for proposal shall be directed to the purchasing department staff in written email no later than 10:00 AM CT, August 18, 2026.

Failure to comply with submission requirements, including the Responsible Bidder Ordinance, may result in a determination that a contractor is not a responsible bidder or that a submission is incomplete.
