This is a public tender for the Village Hall Elevator Repair Modernization in Wilmette, IL. Bids are due and will be opened on May 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. Questions must be submitted in writing to ***@***. *. * by May 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM. No clarifications will be issued after May 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Bids must be submitted electronically through Demandstar. com. A bid bond of 10% of the total base bid amount is required. The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies to this work. Bidders must have at least five years of experience and have completed at least five similar projects in the past two years. The village reserves the right to waive technicalities, reject bids, or award in part or in whole.

Invoices will be paid within 30 days of completion of the work, acceptance by the village, and receipt of the invoice, or within 45 days if the purchase order number is missing. Invoices will be paid net of any assessed damages. The village will retain 10% of progress payments until final completion and acceptance.
The contractor warrants that all material and equipment furnished will be new and of the most suitable grade, and all work will be of good quality, free from faults and defects for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion, unless otherwise provided.
The work shall be awarded to the responsible bidder who submits the responsive bid that is most advantageous to the village.
Bidders must have at least five years of experience as a continuously operating entity engaged in similar work and have completed at least five projects of similar size and nature within the past two years.
Failure on the part of the successful bidder to execute a contract within thirty calendar days of its receipt or to provide acceptable bonds shall be considered just cause to withdraw the award, and the bid security shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The village may deduct costs from payments due to the contractor for damages caused by the contractor.
A pre-bid meeting for all bidders will be held on May 12, 2026, starting at 10:30 a. m. at the Village Hall. Participation at the pre-bid meeting is required to submit a bid.
