The time of substantial completion for this contract shall be 130 working days, beginning from the date specified in the notice to proceed.
City reserves the right to retain five percent (5%) of the contract price for 35 days after it records the notice of completion. Contractor may substitute securities for said five percent (5%) retention or request that City make payments of retentions earned directly to an escrow agent at contractor's expense.
The city council may award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as so reported or as city's interest may dictate.
The bidder shall be licensed by the state of California as a class A contractor. Bidders must also be registered with the department of industrial relations pursuant to labor code section ****.
Any protests to award of contract shall follow the procedures outlined in City Council resolution no. 61, dated June 7, ****.
Failure to acknowledge receipt of all addenda issued during the bidding period may result in the bid being rejected as not responsive.
The estimated construction cost of this package is $1,100,000.
