This is a request for information and quotations for gas free certification for USNS John Lewis TAO 205. Offerors must provide all information required by the solicitation no later than 25 September 2025 at 12:00 PM Singapore Standard Time. The period of performance is from 11 October 2025 to 19 October 2025. The place of performance is Singapore. The contract is a firm fixed price. The
contractor shall provide all labor and materials for work described in attachment J1. Additional information regarding the work items is available in attachment J1. The
contractor shall provide an organization chart of significant positions within 10 days after award. The government is exempt from Japanese consumption tax. The
contractor shall submit a request for tax exemption certificate for any import duties and taxes. The
contractor shall comply with 29 CFR ****, occupational and health standards for shipyard employment. The
contractor shall extend to the government the full coverage of any standard
commercial warranty normally offered in a similar
commercial sale. The
contractor may request lay down space adjacent to the shipyard. If ship repair work is being performed in and around potentially significant historic buildings and structures, the
contractor shall avoid changing the original materials and finishes used in the properties. The
contractor shall comply with applicable provisions of the laws and regulations where the ship repairing, shipbuilding, and shipbreaking employment and related employments are performed. The
contractor shall not provide controlled unclassified information (CUI) to anyone except SRFJMC employees, other DOD employees or DOD
contractors requiring the data for accomplishment of an SRFJMC business process unless the data is marked distribution statement A approved for public release: distribution is unlimited or has been approved for unrestricted public release by the commanding officer of SRFJMC or commander US naval forces Japan/COMNAVFORJAPAN public affairs officer PAO. The
contractor shall notify SRFJMC code 700 code 950 in Sasebo and request written permission to release CUI outside of SRFJMC, DOD activities or DOD
contractors that are not involved in the SRFJMC business process if the
contractor believes that the release is required to support a SRFJMC business or public affairs requirement. The
contractor shall comply with all security requirements and measures called for on the DD Form 254, if the form is listed in section J and attached hereto. The
contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the government in accordance with the specification package military sealift command MSC as provided herein and additional requirements contained herein. The
contractor shall establish and maintain a positive system for controlling material which is not in conformance with
contractor requirements. The system shall identify and segregate nonconforming material. The
contractor shall require subcontractors and suppliers to invoke adequate inspection systems that ensure the required quality of materials, parts, components, and services for end-use in this ship repair. The government shall be permitted to monitor the
contractors system for inspecting subcontractors. The
contractor is reminded of the requirements associated with subcontracting with
contractors that are debarred, suspended or proposed for debarment contained at FAR **** calibrated equipment shall be used to perform tests and inspections. Test and measuring equipment shall be within industry standard limits and shall be calibrated against standards traceable to the national bureau of standards. Calibrated equipment shall be identified with a label stating date of calibration, due date and certifying agency. Calibrated equipment shall be used for all pressure and weight testing, measurements of electrical waves, balancing operations, tachometers and other indirect measuring devices used for inspection or to record data
