Sealed bids are requested for food products for the **** school session. Bids are due by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Prices must be firm from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount is required. Successful bidders will need to provide a performance bond of 50% of the total order amount. Specific brands are approved, and bidding on unapproved brands will result in a wasted bid. Vendors must submit product formulation sheets and nutritional labels with their bid or within five business days after award. Deliveries are to all St. Tammany Parish public school cafeterias. The St. Tammany Parish School Board reserves the right to add up to 10% of the award value for additional goods and quantities. A site visit/inspection of the low bidder's warehouse may be conducted before award.
Bids are due by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. All bids arriving after the scheduled date and hour will be returned unopened. The responsibility for timely delivery rests solely with the bidder.
Payment will be due 30 days from the date of the statement. Monthly statements shall be submitted in duplicate on the vendor's regular form, to include the last school day of each calendar month. A statement is needed for each school and must include school name, invoice number and amount owed per invoice.
Award shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder who best meets the terms, conditions, instructions and specifications of the bid, as well as, approved brands where indicated.
Bidders must submit a fully executed bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or money order in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Failure to comply will cause your bid to be nonresponsive. A performance bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of the order will be required from the successful bidders.
If the successful vendor fails to comply with bid specifications, the St. Tammany Parish School Board shall give thirty (30) days written notice to the successful bidder to render satisfactory service. At the expiration of thirty (30) days, if the unsatisfactory conditions have not been corrected, the St. Tammany Parish School Board reserves the right to cancel the contract and to purchase food products from another source, with the successful bidder forfeiting the performance bond.
The St. Tammany Parish School Board reserves the right to conduct a site visit/inspection of the low bidder's warehouse/facility before making an award.
Before a new item or brand is to be considered, a sample must be submitted to the school food service department to be tested and evaluated as to equal quality in comparison to the approved brand list. All testing will be done in February and October.
Any protest to the award/rejection of a bid or proposal must be submitted in writing to the Supervisor of Purchasing, 321 N. Theard Street, Covington, LA **** within one (1) week from receipt of award/rejection letter.
Failure to comply with requirements such as submitting required documentation (bid bond, certifications, CN labels, product formulation sheets, nutritional labels) or delivering non-conforming products may result in disqualification or rejection of the bid.
The estimated value of this bid is $4,000,000. 00. This is an estimated value and St. Tammany Parish will not be held to this dollar value.
