The Knox County Procurement Division is seeking bids for cylinder collection services. Bids must be received by March 24, 2026. Additional information requests can be sent to Brian Hubbs. Award will be made to the most responsive, responsible bidders meeting specifications. Vendors must be registered with the procurement division prior to submitting their bid. The bid will be evaluated based on price (80 points) and response time (20 points). The successful vendor must carry the insurance as indicated on the insurance checklist. Invoices must show detailed material count and unit prices. Questions must be submitted by March 10, 2026.
The bid states that bidders must state the number of business days until cylinder collection and removal will commence after receipt of a signed purchase order or credit card order.
Knox County utilizes two methods of payment: purchase orders and the Knox County credit card Visa. Vendors must indicate in their bid response if they will accept the Knox County credit card Visa as form of payment. Vendors are advised that approximately thirty 30 days is required to process invoices for payment when the invoicing instructions herein are followed.
The contractor warrants to Knox County that all items delivered and all services rendered shall conform to the specifications, drawings, bid andor other descriptions furnished andor incorporated by reference, and will be fit for the particular purpose purchased, of merchantable quality, good workmanship, and free from defects.
Award will be made to the most responsive, responsible bidders meeting specifications, who presents the product or service that is in the best interest of knox county.
Vendors employees shall be certified in the proper handling of the cylinders they will collect and process. Certifications of employees shall be included in the bid package.
Knox County reserves the right, in case of vendor default, to procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the defaulting vendor responsible for any excess costs occasioned thereby. Should vendor default be due to a failure to perform or because of a request for a price increase, Knox County reserves the right to remove the vendor from the countys bidders list for twentyfour 24 months.
Vendors are strongly encouraged to visit the sites and familiarize themselves with the surroundings and the environment in which the services will be performed.
Any such protest or question regarding the specifications or bid procedures must be received in the procurement division no later than 4: 30 p. m. local time on march 10, 2026.
