The bid is for the installation of chain link fencing at Midway Elementary. Bids must include total project cost, estimated timeline, material descriptions, licensing/insurance proof, and warranty information. A site visit is encouraged. The successful contractor must be properly licensed and have at least five years of documented experience. The opening date for the bid is January 29, 2026, at 10:15 AM EST. The contractor must adhere to district property rules, including no drugs, alcohol, or weapons. SLED background checks are required for all personnel. The district reserves the right to award to one vendor. The district intends to contract with the successful bidder by entering into a one 1year agreement with the option to renew for four 4 additional one year terms.
The responder shall include with hisher response delivery dates for each item as requested, and shall furnish all items in accordance with the solicitation unless an extension was granted by the district in writing.
Payment for goods and services received by the district shall be processed in accordance with the anderson school district five procurement code. A purchase order will be issued and must be referenced on all invoices presented for payment.
The vendor shall supply a guarantee for all workmanship for the equipment heshe is furnishing for a period comparable to the standards in the industry. When defects or faulty materials are discovered during the guarantee period, the vendor shall, immediately, upon notification by the district, process at hisher own expense, to repair or replace the same.
Award may not be based solely on price. Final award will be made to the offeror who is found to be responsive and responsible and provides the best solution to meet the needs of the district.
Responses shall be considered only from proposers who are regularly established in the business called for and who in the judgment of the district are financially responsible and able to show evidence of their reliability, ability, experience, equipment supervised by them to render prompt and satisfactory service in the volume called for under this contract.
Should the contractor fail to complete the contract within the established time limit, or at the later date as authorized in writing by the director of procurement, heshe shall pay liquidated damages in the sum of one hundred dollars **** per day minimum andor in accordance with the district procurement code.
Contractors are encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to submitting a bid to verify conditions and layout. Failure to visit the site will not relieve the contractor of responsibility for completing the work as specified.
Any prospective bidder, offeror, contractor, or subcontractor who is aggrieved in connection with the solicitation of a contract shall protest within fifteen 15 days of the date of issuance of the applicable solicitation document.
