Bids must be charged by tons, or parts thereof, or bags. This is an on- call contract. The station commander or his designee will establish with the vendor the snow removal response. The station commander or his designee shall establish, with vendor, the method required for all employees on site to make physical confirmation in snow removal service log of hours worked. Snow removal costs should be based upon the use of a truck plow and hand shoveling if required by the station commander. Vendor must have equipment adequately sized to perform service in efficient manner. Commonwealth will pay for only those services rendered. Sources sought notice for bulk and bag salt for VAPHS 1. 1, 764 bags of salt on pallets to VAPHS warehouse at the university dr. campus, university dr. c, pittsburgh, pa 15240. Between the hours of 0700- 1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. 2. Ice melt delivered on pallets, each pallet weight not to exceed 2500lbs. Quantity of fifty sacks weighing 50 pounds each. 3. Containment bags holding ice melt shall be weatherproof and waterproof. Product inside bags shall be dry and not clumped, and immediately usable for specified purposes. 4. Product shall be safe for use on concrete, asphalt, and vegetation. 5.
