Sealed proposals for the lead service line replacement project will be accepted in the office of purchasing/finance until Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 10:00 AM. Site visits may be scheduled by contacting Alan Austin, Director of Water Supply, during the week of May 19, 2025. Questions must be submitted to purchasing/finance by Friday, May 23, 2025, 4:30 PM. An addendum, if necessary, will be posted no later than Friday, May 30, 2025, 10:00 AM. Bid evaluation will be based on Rhode Island General Laws ****, competitive sealed bidding, and the lowest evaluated or responsive bid price. Bidders must demonstrate experience, submit a list of references and completed projects, meet insurance requirements, and submit a qualification statement. A certificate of insurance showing $1,000,000 general liability, $1,000,000 auto liability, workers compensation (with waiver of subrogation), and professional liability is required. A performance bond and labor and material payment bond are required. The bid must be submitted on the prescribed form, with all blank spaces filled in ink or typewritten. The town is exempt from Rhode Island sales tax and federal excise taxes. Delivery shall be F. O. B. North Kingstown, RI. The contract period is detailed in the standard form of agreement.
